What if I were to tell you that today we have many mad prophets?
What Prophet Balaam did, if you were to look at it carnally, you wouldn’t call it madness, but Apostle Peter reveal to us that Balaam’s obsession with money was influenced by the Spirit of madness.
Normally, our definition of madness is abnormal character but Peter’s definition here – is obsession with money. People charging money for one on one, Prayers, anointed water, anointed oils and the likes.
Of course, They have a way they justify such kind of madness, Just like Balaam would have justified being paid to go and curse people. Verse 15 says, “Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;”.
