Holding to the Beloved
The word ‘Beloved’ in several English dictionary, is one very much Loved or one very dear to the heart.
You can get into level where God becomes your Beloved. Of course everyone will say am there, until we look carefully on it means to be his beloved.
I know many people who love their boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife more than God, it means he has not yet become your beloved. Once his your beloved, he becomes your number one, he becomes your most favorite. I know you love your partner more than God when the word of your partner is more important than the word of God in your life.
The Beloved is one you love unconditionally, your situation doesn’t change the way you see him or the way you love him.
Now the scripture I shared with you here, shows us that when his your beloved, you will seek him. The seeking we see in that scripture portrays to us that God was really the beloved, as she seeked for him everywhere.
When you forget to cook for your husband, you become bothered, but when you forget to read bible, you are never bothered, because you are not yet in the level where he has truly become your beloved.
I remember years back my younger brother use to laugh at me and call me mad because whenever I was alone he would see me laughing alone. Because I am truly captivated by his love. You’ll agree with me that when you in love with someone, He/She become all you think about right? Now that’s what happens when he truly becomes your beloved.
Song of Solomon 3:1-5 (KJV) By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him NOT. I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived ME. I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
