They’re people who say that when people die, They go to a place where they await the day of judgment, So they go to one isolated place which is not heaven nor hell but bible teaching differ a lot to this teaching.
Let’s take for example Luke 16:19-26 (KJV) There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Now, This is a teaching from the LORD JESUS himself, Showing us very clearly what happens when a person dies, you would think, JESUS would say, they await for the great day before going to hell or heaven but no, They immediately go there when they die.
They wait for that day while their already in hell and already in heaven, And I will give you scriptures to support that. Like Luke 23:43, Which say, “And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
How can JESUS say that, Isn’t it he supposed to say in the day of the resurrection you shall surely resurrect to heaven? But he says, Today you shall surely be with me in heaven.
Again if we check Revelation 6:9-11 (KJV), “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled”.
They were already in heaven yet waiting for the rest of the saints that were to be killed as they were, They were not somewhere else, They were waiting, but they were waiting in heaven because that’s where they belong.
So their those who wait in hell and those who wait in heaven. Depending on how you lived while on earth. This is why the bible says, Revelation 20:14 (KJV) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death”.
Even hell was judged into the lake of fire, which is where currently, lost souls reside.
