You can actually be offended by God.
Matthew 11:6 (NKJV) And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”
This scripture here proves to us that one can be offend by God. Offended by God because you feel GOD is cheating you, Or delaying you or not doing things right with you.
Now JESUS said those words right after John sent his desciples to go and ask, “Are you the one or should we wait for another?” Why this question is that of offense is because John received revelation that JESUS WAS THE LAMB THAT TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD and he even announced it publicly, but now he’s in prison and probably hoping JESUS would do something and JESUS was just quiet.
And I think that’s what causes us to be offended at him because at times he’ll be quiet in the most critical situations, Where you’re so desperate and when you go to him, HE will just be quiet but him being quiet – doesn’t mean he doesn’t care; We must learn to read the LOVE of GOD even in HIS silence.
Just because he’s quiet doesn’t mean he doesn’t care, HE just let you deal with the situation because he believes you like the way he believed in Job, That even if Job did not attend the meeting in heaven that caused chaos in his life but HE will still not be offended at him.
When you check the agenda of the meeting, You’ll realize that GOD was so confident that no matter what – Job would never betray him. Can GOD trusts you like that?
It’s a question between only you and GOD.
